Dan Emerson, a Bay Area Native, began his career with twelve years as a district Manager for Prudential Insurance.  He managed a staff of over 85 brokers and specialized in financial planning consultation.  He then worked as an independent contractor for two major real estate banking firms marketing, soliciting and finalizing qualified corporate pension funds throughout the United States and placing commercial real estate loans. In 1989 Dan joined his wife, Karen, at Emerson Financial.  Dan excels in financing residential real estate   and enjoys solving the unique challenge of each transaction. Dan’s contagious energy and enthusiasm, blended with his experience and depth of knowledge will leave you scrambling for a note pad and pencil.

 

When not at Emerson Financial, (and yes, he actually does leave the office daily) Dan can be found enjoying dinner out with his wife, skiing, water skiing, going to the gym or reading a good book.

 

Interesting fact: During his service in the United States Navy in 1966 while stationed in Da Nang Harbor, Viet Nam, Dan co-founded the China Beach Surf Club. He was recognized for this in an exhibit called “The healing power of wave riding” at the California Surf Museum in 2017 and in in the Encyclopedia of Surfing.
